The Asian Racing Federation (ARF) wishes to advise that the ARF Council on Anti-illegal Betting & Related Financial Crime (ARF Council) will transition to the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) and be named the IFHA Council on Anti-illegal Betting and Related Crime (IFHA Council).
The ARF Council was established in 2017 to foster and enhance international cooperation to better combat the threat of illegal betting and related financial crime risks to horse racing integrity in particular and sport in general. The ARF Council has become an established think tank, representing horse racing as a sport and the ARF as a leading sports federation.
With the IFHA Council now under the auspices of the global racing federation, the role and scope of the Council will be global, the membership of the Council will be strengthened by expanding to include more experts from other regions outside Asia, and the reach and impact of the Council will be expanded by engaging with a wider geographical diversity of stakeholders.
The ARF would like to take this opportunity to express its sincere appreciation for the invaluable contributions of the ARF Council members and affirm its unwavering commitment to supporting the IFHA Council throughout and following the transition.
