The 36th ARC commences on Sunday, January 24th, with a race day at Mahalakshmi Race course of the Royal Western India Turf Club. Ltd, featuring the Grade 1 Villloo Poonawalla Indian Oaks, an Indian Classic for four-year-olds.
On Monday, January 25th, Bureau Meetings are scheduled including the Asian Racing Committee Meeting, International Stewards Conference, Asian-African Tote Association Meeting and ARF Management Committee meetings.
The Opening Ceremony follows at the National Sports Club of India with Princess Zahra Aga Khan delivering the key-note address.
The Business Sessions are held from Tuesday, January 26th to Thursday, January 28th. Topics including The Wagering Landscape; Breeding with topics including Japan, The Asian Juggernaut, South Africa – at the crossroads; Racing Media and the 21st Century; How We Market Racing including How the IPL revolutionized the marketing of cricket; Drug Free Racing – Are We Succeeding and The Rising Tide of Illegal Gambling.
There is a post-conference Stud Farm Tour at the Poonawalla Stud Farm in Pune, a short twenty minutes by air, on Friday January 29th.
Sightseeing for accompanying persons within the city of Mumbai, will be arranged on January 26th, 27th and 28th, 2016.
